Nearing the Start of the Spring Semester
- Wednesday, January 10th, 2024
Dear Colleagues,
As we near the beginning of the spring semester, I hope that you are as excited as I am to welcome our Hilltoppers back to campus and embark on a new term together. The start of each semester brings the promise of exciting opportunities and accomplishments, and I am confident that we will make spring 2024 a memorable and enriching experience for each of our students.
During the early part of the semester, I will spend much of my time in Frankfort pursuing our institution’s priorities with our elected officials. Additionally, we will continue to monitor proposed legislation that could affect our university. To stay apprised of updates throughout the legislative session, I encourage you to regularly visit WKU’s legislative website, updated frequently by Jennifer Smith, Executive Director of Government and External Relations.
Looking ahead, in February, I will share information about our fall-to-spring student retention. Preliminary data indicate that our students will, once again, return to campus in record fashion, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our tremendous faculty and staff.
Thank you for all that you do to enrich our students’ lives and elevate our institution to greater heights. Your passion and expertise remain the driving forces behind our continued success. I look forward to sharing another successful semester on our Hill with you.
Go Tops!
Best,
Timothy C. Caboni
