WKU's 48th Annual Student Research Conference March 24

More than 350 students will present at WKU’s 48th Annual Student Research Conference on March 24 at Downing Student Union.
The WKU Student Research Conference will showcase scholarly activities of graduate, undergraduate and Gatton Academy students in all disciplines. All student projects are mentored by WKU faculty and staff members. More: Conference agenda; conference program; project abstracts.
The event showcases 284 research and creative projects -- 178 posters and exhibits, 90 oral papers, 13 performances and three videos. A total of 355 students are presenters and co-presenters at the conference, including 279 undergraduate students, 74 master’s students and two doctoral students. In addition, 99 graduate and undergraduate students are listed as co-authors on the papers and posters presented this year. Update: List of 2018 session winners.
The conference will feature a keynote address that is free and open to the public. Dr. Kendra Cherry-Allen, Sigma Xi Distinguished Lecturer, will speak on Neuroplasticity: Mapping a Path from Undergraduate to Postdoctoral Clinical Research at 10 a.m. in the Downing Student Union, room 3020.
The conference schedule features student presentations throughout the day in the Downing Student Union. Registration for all conference participants and guests begins at 7:30 a.m. Presentations start at 8:15 a.m. and conclude at 4:15 p.m. All student presentations are free and open to the public; the event is swipeable for WKU students. Parking is also free, and parking instructions and maps are available on the conference website.
