Bornefeld elected SGA president

Cole Bornefeld, a junior from Hendersonville, TN, has been elected Student Government Association president at WKU.
In the general election held April 18-19, 1,448 students voted for president, executive vice president, administrative vice president, student senators, and referendums.
In the presidential contest, Bornefeld won with 681 votes (49 percent) followed by Alexis Courtenay with 559 votes (40 percent) and Olivia Feck with 160 votes (11 percent). In addition to being student body president, Bornefeld will serve as student regent.
Franklin, TN sophomore Garrison Reed won the executive vice president with 655 votes (52 percent) followed by Jenna Wells with 655 votes (48 percent).
Bowling Green freshman Sam Kurtz won the administrative vice president with 725 votes (53 percent) followed by Calleigh Powell with 655 (47 percent).
The following students were elected to serve in the Student Senate: Olivia Feck, Matthew Gadd, Mallory Hardesty, Aniya Johnson, Preston Romanov, Ethan Taylor, Reed Hensley, Jakob Briggs, James Cecil, Julie Mishchuk, Annalise Finch, Jenna Wells, Elizabeth DeLozier, Tramaine Hawkins, Megan Farmer, Gunner Robinson, Caleb Collins, Adan Conizales, Barrett Gibbs, Antonina Clementi, Griffin Plumb, Brett Phelps, Ethan Huffaker, and Maksim Zaepfel.
The new executive council will be sworn in at the end of the semester.
