Accreditation Faculty Fellow - Call for Application and Nominations

Dear Colleagues,
The Provost’s Office is seeking an interested faculty member for the position of Accreditation Faculty Fellow. The purpose of the faculty fellowship is to provide experience and opportunities in leadership to WKU faculty interested in learning more about the responsibilities of institutional accreditation. The fellowship is a two-year, part-time appointment working closely with the Assistant Provost for Accreditation and the Provost’s team to help in the University's preparation for reaffirmation and in developing and implementing projects related to the upcoming SACSCOC reaffirmation of accreditation.
Structure:
- Faculty fellowship constitutes a 2-year part-time commitment. Additionally, the fellow will be asked to serve during summer sessions.
- During the academic year, the fellow will devote 25% of their workload to this appointment.
- The Provost’s Office will provide replacement costs to the Faculty Fellow’s department to support the instructional needs of the academic unit for one course replacement per semester.
- A summer stipend or replacement for instructional costs will be negotiated with the candidate and their department upon appointment to the fellowship.
- The Provost’s Office will provide the tools, professional development, and leadership experiences necessary to accomplish the goals of the identified accreditation project.
- The Faculty Fellow will be an active member of the Provost’s leadership team.
Eligibility:
- We encourage full-time faculty with at least five years of service to WKU to apply.
- Applicants will have a demonstrated interest in university leadership and service.

- Please submit an application packet to beth.laves@wku.edu. Your packet must contain the following:
- a statement describing your interest in becoming a Faculty Fellow, particularly any experience with or interest in accreditation, and what leadership skills or knowledge you hope to learn and/or improve upon as part of this experience,
- a letter of support from your department chair/director accompanied by a signature from the college dean, and
- a truncated CV/resume.
