WKU Military Student Services Awarded CEVSS Grant

Under the leadership of Kent Johnson, WKU Military Student Services has been awarded a U.S. Department of Education grant to establish a Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (CEVSS).

The Center will build upon the legacy of excellent service and support that WKU provides military and veteran connected students. It will expand WKU's capacity to serve those who have served our country, and will help improve their success.

The Center will give students access to a support team that works in a concerted effort on their behalf, to ensure that they have the resources and tools necessary to succeed. Service members and veterans are accustomed to looking out for one another and working together as a team to accomplish their mission. Creating a Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success will ensure that their experience at WKU is similar. They will know that WKU is on their team and are ready and willing to help them accomplish their mission of continuing their education.
