National Hispanic Heritage Month
- Wednesday, September 28th, 2022
Dear Colleagues,
The Fall 2022 Semester is in full swing! Our community is truly back and engaged on the Hill! Seeing so many of our students and colleagues connecting across campus is wonderful and reminds me of the many things that make WKU a special place.
National Hispanic Heritage Month, which spans September 15 through October 15, provides our Hispanic and Latinx communities the opportunity to host cultural events and present scholarship on culturally relevant topics. Celebrating the contributions and achievements of Latin Americans is a way to affirm WKU’s commitment to welcoming immigrants and their descendants, celebrating multiculturalism, and embracing diverse cultures and traditions.
I encourage everyone to take part in National Hispanic Heritage Month activities at WKU and in our communities. There are various opportunities hosted by student organizations and departments from across campus for the month long celebration.
