31 WKU students candidates for 2022 Homecoming queen

Thirty-one students are candidates for 2022 Homecoming queen at Western Kentucky University.
The 2022 queen will be crowned Saturday, Oct. 29, during halftime of WKU Football vs. North Texas at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
This year’s Homecoming theme is “Nightmare on Normal Street.” Queen candidates will participate in activities during Homecoming Week including a fall social on Sunday, an interview on Tuesday, a banquet on Wednesday, a volunteer experience on Thursday and the Homecoming parade/Big Red’s Roar on Friday. WKU students will cast their votes for queen in online balloting on Monday.
Homecoming queen candidates are:
- Sarah Grace Alexander of Burkesville, daughter of Jeff and Kim Alexander. She is a Biology major with a minor in Chemistry and is sponsored by Alpha Epsilon Delta.
- Lauren Bahl of Burlington, daughter of Karen Bahl. She is a Sport Management major with a minor in Marketing and is sponsored by Gordon Ford College of Business Ambassadors.
- Taylor Blakeley of Hopkinsville, daughter of Jason and Lori Blakeley. She is a Business Management major with a minor in Marketing and is sponsored by Order of Omega.
- Charlotte Couvillion of Crestwood, daughter of Brandee and Mitch Couvillion. She is a Marketing major with a concentration in Sales and a minor in Computer Information Systems and is sponsored by WKU Business Association for Development.
- Breanna Creekmore of Nicholasville, daughter of Todd and Renee Creekmore. She is a Biology and Chemistry major and is sponsored by Kappa Delta, Kappa Alpha Order and Alpha Gamma Rho.
- Taylor Davis of Madison, Alabama, daughter of Scottie Davis and Renecer Davis. She is an Exercise Science major and is sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
- Sadie Edwards of Hopkinsville, daughter of John and Tana Edwards. She is a Public Relations and Agribusiness major and is sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta and Phi Delta Theta.
- Branae Ervin of Louisville, daughter of Fern Smith. She is an Interdisciplinary Studies major with an emphasis in Education and is sponsored by National Panhellenic Council.
- Allison Etter of Freeburg, Illinois, daughter of Chris and Michelle Etter. She is a Civil Engineering major and is sponsored by American Society of Civil Engineers.
- Elizabeth Gannon of Louisville, daughter of Brian and Paula Gannon. She is a Biology and Chinese major with a minor in Biophysics and is sponsored by HonorsToppers.
- Ashira Gibbs of Brentwood, Tennessee, daughter of Vanecia and Glen Gibbs. She is a Marketing major with a minor in Dance and is sponsored by WKU Spirit Masters.
- Abby Haynes of Bowling Green, daughter of JT and Stacy Haynes. She is a Business Data Analytics and Strategic Marketing major and is sponsored by Student Alumni Ambassadors.
- Taylor Murphy of Glasgow, daughter of Steven and Regina Murphy. She is an Elementary Education major and is sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Tau Delta, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
- Kyah Neal of Elizabethtown, daughter of Diana Neal. She is a Special Education with a focus in Learning and Behavioral Disorders major and is sponsored by Best Buddies.
- Delaney O’Neill of St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of Kerry and Matt O’Neill. She is an English Literature major with minors in Criminology and Legal Studies and is sponsored by Potter College Dean’s Council of Students.
- Calleigh Powell of Vevay, Indiana, daughter of Dawn and Larry Powell. She is a Public Relations and Corporate & Organizational Communication major with minors in Broadcasting and Sales and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha, Alpha Tau Omega, and Sigma Nu.
- Sarah Price of Bowling Green, daughter of James Prices and Bobbie Warren. She is a Psychological Sciences major with a minor in Entrepreneurship and is sponsored by Sigma Kappa, Kappa Sigma, and Sigma Alpha.
- Jessica Sandfoss of Lexington, daughter of Darrell and Diane Sandfoss. She is a Biology major and is sponsored by Baptist Campus Ministry.
- Sydney Schneider of Lewisport, daughter of Michael Schneider and Victoria Schneider. She is a Health Care Administration major with a minor in Organizational Leadership and is sponsored by Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council.
- Samyzia Sears of Columbus, Georgia, daughter of Samuel and Pamela Sears. She is a Special Education major with focuses in Learning and Behavioral Disorders and Elementary Education and is sponsored by Fellowship of Christian Athletes & Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
- Tiara Chavẽ Shellman of Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of Shawanna Johnson. She is a Corporate & Organizational Communications major with a minor in Legal Studies and is sponsored by Mahurin Honors College - Scholars of Color.
- Sydney Shrewsberry of Bowling Green, daughter of Kyle and Teresa Shrewsberry. She is a Marketing and Sales major with a Certificate in Applied Data Analytics and is sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi and Sigma Chi.
- Anne Simpson of Bowling Green, daughter of Kevin Simpson and Sherrie Sheets. She is a Psychology and Philosophy major and is sponsored by Rho Lambda.
- Claire Thomas of Crestwood, daughter of Brian and Mary Thomas. She is an Elementary Education major and is sponsored by Delta Zeta and Sigma Phi Epsilon.
- Laura Tomas of Franklin, daughter of Isabela Alonzo-Alonzo. She is a HR Management and Corporate & Organizational Communications major with a minor in Finance and is sponsored by Women in Business.
- Jenny Tovar of Hendersonville, Tennessee, daughter of Olga and Eduardo Tovar. She is a Political Science and International Politics major and is sponsored by Hilltopper Organization of Latin American Students.

- Abby Yelton of Villa Hills, daughter of Shannon and Chad Yelton. She is a Health Sciences major with a concentration in Allied Health and is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi and Pi Kappa Alpha.
