WKU Esports teams compete in Bluegrass Bowl

WKU's Esports Overwatch 2 teams traveled to Lexington on October 8 to compete with other state Esports teams in the University of Kentucky’s 2nd Annual Bluegrass Bowl.
The event took place in the University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union Esports Lounge and was livestreamed on the Twitch channel of the UKY Esports program. The daylong tournament featured Overwatch 2 teams from Centre College, Eastern Kentucky University, Murray State University, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Western Kentucky University.
One of the WKU Overwatch 2 teams placed third in the competition, while the other team placed 10th.
WKU Esports student-athletes are looking forward to competitive play in future tournaments. If you are interested in viewing a competition, WKU will be hosting Watch Parties for the League of Legends Worlds 2022 in Downing Student Union on Oct. 29, Oct. 30 and Nov. 5 (Finals).
