Western Kentucky University will hold a dedication ceremony for Munday Hall, named after the university’s first African American undergraduate student, at 9:30 a.m. Friday (October 28).
WKU President Timothy C. Caboni announced in July 2021 that Northeast Hall would be renamed Munday Hall after Margaret E. Munday, the first African-American undergraduate student to enroll at WKU. It is the first building on WKU’s campus named after an African American individual.
Ms. Munday, who graduated from the institution in 1960 with a degree in music, will be on hand for the dedication ceremony.
President Caboni and other university officials will be available for questions following the dedication.
