March 8: Dr. Brooke Blower presents Harrison Lecture

Dr. Brooke Blower will present on her forthcoming book, Americans in a World at War: Intimate Histories from the Crash of Pan Am’s Yankee Clipper, for the History Department's annual Harrison Lecture. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 4 pm in the Gary Ransdell Hall auditorium (room 1074) on Wednesday, March 8.
Dr. Blower is associate professor of History at Boston University; her research focuses on modern American political culture, travel, and war especially in urban and transnational contexts. Her first book, Becoming Americans in Paris: Transatlantic Politics and Culture between the World Wars (Oxford University Press, 2011) won the Gilbert Chinard Prize from the Society for French Historical Studies and the James P.
