KAHO Unbridled Spirit Award Given to WKU HRL Assistant Director

The Kentucky Association of Housing Officers (KAHO) awarded WKU Housing & Residence Life Assistant Director of Housing Administration, Doug Tate, with the KAHO Unbridled Spirit Award at their annual conference held virtually on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
The KAHO Unbridled Service Award is awarded to an individual for their significant and lasting contribution and service to their institution while embodying an “unbridled spirit” in service for the betterment of their institution, state, region, or the profession in general. Recipients demonstrate a record of service as a positive change‐agent in service to their students, colleagues, and peers.
Lana Kunkel, Director of Housing Operations notes “Doug goes above and beyond his duties and is truly an unsung hero of our department and campus. His work is consistently excellent and inclusive. Doug is truly a beacon of service and support at WKU; He does so much for WKU that will never be seen, and the campus is better because he is on it.”
The Kentucky Association of Housing Officers exists to provide opportunities of personal and professional growth for college and university housing and residence life officers across the state of Kentucky.
