Students in Spanish course participate in presentation by Llanos Blanco

Students in Dr. Inma Pertusa’s SPAN 331: Spanish for Professional Communication course participated in a presentation on April 14 by Llanos Blanco, Curly Girl, a Spanish influencer with a presence on YouTube, Instagram, and Tik Tok. They learned about her process of turning a hobby in to a profession that encompasses social media and beyond, including organizing large public events with presentations in various locations in Spain. In addition, students engaged in conversation with the presenter about the advantages and disadvantages of working in this environment, using terms and concepts from their studies in class. This was a unique opportunity for students to meet with a successful young professional that encouraged them to transform their interest in social media into a profitable career in the future.
