WKU Mascot Adorns New Owensboro Transit System Bus

Owensboro, Kentucky – You may notice a familiar face on the sides of a new Owensboro Transit System (OTS) bus. Sponsored by WKU in Owensboro, the new bus features Big Red, WKU’s large, loveable mascot.

“OTS and WKU in Owensboro have a long-standing partnership, and having Big Red on a bus is a fun way to connect with the community,” said Dr. Derick Strode, Director of WKU Regional Campuses.

According to OTS Manager Pamela Canary, buses travel to most of the high traffic roadways within Owensboro city limits on most days except for Sundays and major holidays. For more information about OTS, transit.owensboro.org.
