Gordon Ford College of Business Names Interim Leadership

Dr. Evelyn Thrasher, Sr. Associate Dean for Faculty and Administration and Professor of Analytics and Information Systems will serve as the Interim Dean of the Gordon Ford College of Business beginning July 1.
Dr. Thrasher holds a Ph.D. and MBA from Auburn University. She has published more than 20 articles in academic journals, including Decision Support Systems, OMEGA, and Computers in Human Behavior. She serves as an AACSB accreditation mentor and actively participates in the College’s outreach efforts through civic engagement and community service.
She succeeds Dr. Christopher Shook, who departed WKU to become Dean of the Collat School of Business at UAB.
“We are thankful for the leadership of Dr. Shook, and I am grateful that Provost Fisher and President Caboni have entrusted me to lead the Gordon Ford College of Business,” said Dr. Thrasher. “From record enrollment growth and retention, a curricular revision, expanded student success initiatives, and breaking ground on a new building, GFCB has a bright future. Our faculty and staff’s commitment to student success is unmatched.”
In addition, Dr. Alex Lebedinsky, Department Chair and Professor of Economics, will serve as the Interim Associate Dean for Faculty and Administration. Dr. David Zimmer, Program Coordinator for the Master of Applied Economics and Professor of Economics, will serve as the Interim Department Chair of Economics.
