38 WKU students candidates for 2023 Homecoming queen

Thirty-eight students are candidates for 2023 Homecoming queen at WKU.
The 2023 queen will be crowned Saturday, Nov. 11, during halftime of WKU Football vs. New Mexico State at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
This year’s Homecoming theme is “Big Red, White, and Blue.” Queen candidates will participate in activities during Homecoming Week including a fall social on Sunday (Nov. 5), an interview on Tuesday (Nov. 7), a banquet on Wednesday (Nov. 8), a volunteer experience and the Homecoming parade/Big Red’s Roar on Friday (Nov. 10). WKU students will cast their votes for queen in online balloting on Monday (Nov. 6).
Homecoming queen candidates are:
- Hannah Adams of Irvine, Kentucky, daughter of Keith Adams and Erika Adams. She is a Public Relations major with a minor in Marketing and is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi and Phi Delta Theta.
- Audrey Baird of Hendersonville, Tennessee, daughter of Barry and Andrea Baird. She is a Marketing major with a certificate in Applied Data Analytics and is sponsored by Women in Business.
- Tommi Beers of Lexington, Kentucky, daughter of Connie Beers. She is a Business Management major with a minor in Entrepreneurship and is sponsored by Baptist Campus Ministry.
- Samantha Bodemann of Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of Brett and Carrie Bodemann. She is a Broadcasting and Public Relations major and is sponsored by Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council.
- Alexis Byrd of Powell, Ohio, daughter of Josh and Julie Byrd. She is an Elementary and Special Education major and is sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta and Pi Kappa Alpha.
- Emma Carlton of Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of Brent and Sarah Carlton. She is a Finance-Business major and is sponsored by Delta Sigma Pi.
- Rachel Carver of Slaughters, Kentucky, daughter of Jon and Kathy Carver. She is a Human Resource Management major with a minor in Entrepreneurship and is sponsored by Student Alumni Association.
- Erin Cheek of Hebron, Kentucky, daughter of Kurt and Jennifer Cheek. She is a Nursing major and is sponsored by Phi Mu and Sigma Chi.
- Mackenzie Cundiff of Dunnville, Kentucky, daughter of Billy and Julie Cundiff. She is a Biology and Dental Hygiene major and is sponsored by Kappa Delta and Kappa Sigma.
- Sydney Denney of Pleasant View, Tennessee, daughter of Darrin and Michelle Denney. She is a Political Science and History major and is sponsored by Student Government Association.
- Alyssa Dooley of Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of Larry and Dawn Dooley. She is a Public Health major with a minor in Tourism & Events and is sponsored by Omicron Delta Kappa.
- Jae Foley of Bowling Green, Kentucky, daughter of Karen Foley and Jason Foley. She is a Nursing major and is sponsored by Sigma Kappa, Lambda Chi Alpha and Delta Tau Delta.
- Morgan Gammons of Bowling Green, Kentucky, daughter of Curt and Lori Gammons. She is a Legal Studies major with a minor in Spanish and is sponsored by Topper Orientation Program.
- Carelynn Hartmann of Grant County, Kentucky, daughter of Ellen and Ronald Hartmann and Christina and William Fields. She is a Civil Engineering major and is sponsored by American Society of Civil Engineers.
- Kiana Higgins of Versailles, Kentucky, daughter of LaToyia Higgins. She is a Criminology and Sociology major with a minor in Psychology and is sponsored by Mahurin Honors College Scholars of Color.
- Hannah Holt of London, Kentucky, daughter of Angela and Paul Holt. She is an Interior Design major and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha and Sigma Phi Epsilon.
- Kylie Kays of Mount Washington, Kentucky, daughter of Troy and Earlene Kays. She is an Elementary and Special Education major and is sponsored by Best Buddies.
- Alexis Kilgore of Lexington, Kentucky, daughter of Jeheniah Mullins and Danny Mullins. She is a Professional Legal Studies and Political Science major with a minor in Criminology and is sponsored by WKU Pre-Law Student Association.
- Mya Kimberling of Crestwood, Kentucky, daughter of Jen Carlsen and Russ Kimberling. She is a Social Work major and is sponsored by College of Health and Human Services.
- Millie LeJeune of Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of Kettelye LeJeune. She is an Exercise Science major and is sponsored by Black Women of Western and Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.
- Delanee McCormick of Erlanger, Kentucky, daughter of Tammy and Bret McCormick. She is an Elementary Education major and is sponsored by Educators Rising Collegiate.
- Chloe Milliken of Bowling Green, Kentucky, daughter of Wes and Amy Milliken. She is a Marketing major with a minor in Finance and is sponsored by Chi Omega, Alpha Tau Omega and Alpha Gamma Rho.
- Tori Minteer of Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of Melanie and Mark Minteer. She is a Psychology major with a minor in Clinical and Community Behavioral Health and is sponsored by Counseling Graduate Association.
- Lillie Napier of Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of Jill and John Napier. She is a Strategic Marketing major and is sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta, Sigma Nu and Farmhouse.
- Sabree Norris of Danville, Kentucky, daughter of Joda and Annhall Norris. She is an Elementary Education major and is sponsored by WKU Spirit Masters.
- Rory O’Connor of Mount Washington, Kentucky, daughter of Matthew and Dawn O’Connor. She is a Chemistry (Pre-Dental) major with minors in Biology and Entrepreneurship and is sponsored by Department of Chemistry and Chemistry Club.
- Taeja Parsons of Leitchfield, Kentucky, daughter of Delois Miller. She is an Elementary Education major with a minor in Music and is sponsored by College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Student Ambassadors.

- Ellie Soares of Brentwood, Tennessee, daughter of Jenny Dyer and Michael Soares. She is a Psychology major with a minor in Child and Family Studies and is sponsored by Rho Lambda.
- My Tran of Russellville, Kentucky, daughter of Binh Tran and Tramy Vo. She is a Biochemistry and Psychological Sciences major and is sponsored by Alpha Epsilon Delta.
- Grace Tweedy of Bowling Green, Kentucky, daughter of Paul and Susan Tweedy. She is an English for Secondary Teachers and Literature major and is sponsored by Delta Zeta and FIJI.
