WKU is excited to announce our upcoming Creative Writing Series featuring the accomplished husband-wife screenwriting duo, Juliet Aires Giglio and Keith Giglio on Thursday, October 26th from 7:00 pm to 8:00pm. Together, they both bring a uniqueness and experience into the world of screenwriting. This free and open to the public event allows students to have the opportunity to engage with professionals and gain insight into several genres of creative writing.
Juliet and Keith Giglio met in an elevator while they were attending Grad Film School in New York City, and ever since then their creative duo has flourished. With a record of producing many amazing films, some of their recent works include Reba McEntire’s “Christmas in Tune” and “dear Christmas” starring Melissa Joan hart and Jason Priestley. Their creative portfolio also include Disney’s “Tarzan,” “Pizza My heart,” and “A Cinderella Story.”
Beyond all of what they have achieved in the film world, Juliet and Keith share their passion for story telling as professors at a university. Juliet teaches screenwriting at the University of New York at Oswego, and Keith is a professor at Syracuse University.
In this event, students will have the opportunity to hear about the experiences of the guest speakers with a special presentation of their works in the field of screenwriting, fiction, non-fiction, and as well as playwriting.
Additionally, students will also get the chance to participate in a Q&A session with the speakers. This is the perfect opportunity for students to actively ask any questions, seek advice, and gain a better understanding of storytelling.
Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to engage with accomplished professionals and expand your creative horizons with those that share the same passion. Mark your calendars and join us for an evening of literary exploration and creativity. This event is not only a chance to learn from successful professionals but also a chance to connect with like-minded individuals that share the same passion for the written word.
