Western Kentucky University’s five academic colleges will recognize about 1,000 fall graduates in three ceremonies on Friday (December 8).

During the Fall 2023 recognition ceremonies at Diddle Arena, WKU will confer 997 degrees – 16 doctoral, 195 master’s, two specialist, 733 bachelor’s and 51 associate – as well as 48 undergraduate and 32 graduate certificates.

The schedule is as follows:

• 8 a.m.: Potter College of Arts & Letters; College of Education and Behavioral Sciences
• 10:30 a.m.: Ogden College of Science & Engineering; Gordon Ford College of Business
• 1 p.m.: College of Health and Human Services

Ceremonies will include the ceremonial conferral of degrees, remarks from college deans and recognition of scholars. The graduates will be individually recognized and shake hands with President Timothy C. Caboni. Fall 2023 graduates also are invited to attend the 2024 Commencement Ceremony on May 2. Annah Hopkins, a Biology major and member of the WKU Soccer team from Evansville, Indiana, will be recognized as the Ogden Foundation Scholar during the 10:30 a.m. ceremony. WKU’s top undergraduate academic award is presented to one graduating baccalaureate degree senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and outstanding university and civic engagement.

The ceremonies will be broadcast on WKU PBS and on the WKU Facebook page and WKU YouTube channel.

• WKU ROTC Commissioning, 3:30 p.m. December 8, Downing Student Union, room 2123
• Mahurin Honors College Graduation Reception, 4 p.m. December 8, Eva and Jim Martens Alumni Center
