WKU Panhellenic, NPHC, and IFC Executive Officers at the SGLA Conference in Atlanta

The WKU Panhellenic, National Pan-Hellenic, and IFC Councils were recognized at the Southeastern Greek Leadership Association (SGLA) Conference Feb. 8-11 in Atlanta.

WKU’s Greek Councils won the following awards:

Panhellenic Council

• Council Impact Award (major award category)
• Operational Excellence Award (major award category)

National Pan-Hellenic Council

• Cross-Council Collaboration
• Council Impact Award (major award category)

Interfraternity Council

• Civic & Philanthropic Engagement
• Strategic Branding
• Leadership Development
• Cross-Council Collaboration
• Operational Excellence Award (major award category)

WKU was one of only two institutions in attendance that had all three councils (Panhellenic, NPHC, IFC) win a major category award. The Southeastern Greek Leadership Association conference hosted 41 schools.

“I am proud of the hard work our three councils put into their programing and award submissions,” said Andrew Rash, Associate Director of Student Activities. “Being one of only two institutions that had all three councils win a major award is a testament to the outstanding work each council does.”

In addition to winning council awards, Amelia Kolb and Jay Hightower placed second in the Order of Omega Case Study Competition. 

Destiny Robey, member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., was selected to the 2024-2025 SGLA Student Executive Board.

“SGLA 2024 was definitely a memorable moment for all three councils,” said WKU NPHC President TJ Fleming. “We bonded together and learned lots of great tips to bring back to our own communities. We are all grateful we bought home lots of hardware showing that our work has paid off!”
