The Kentucky Honors Roundtable (KHR) will take place Friday and Saturday, February 23 and 24, at the Honors College and International Center (HCIC) at the Mahurin Honors College (MHC) at Western Kentucky University. The event, co-sponsored by the Mahurin Honors College and Lindsey Wilson College, provides honors students from a variety of universities across the Commonwealth to gather and share their creative and research works, network with professionals, and build connections with fellow peers. Faculty leaders from each honors college or program also have the opportunity to connect with their counterparts to share updates, best practices, and opportunities for future collaborative projects.

On Friday, February 23, 2024, attendees will enjoy dinner at Fresh Food Co. in the Downing Student Union, followed by a mind-altering magic show featuring Mahurin Honors College and Western Kentucky University alumni – Brice Harney (’15) – at 7:00p CST. Brice is an illusionist, mentalist, and entertainer mastering everything from up-close magic to mind-boggling stage ready stunts.

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 8:30a to 4:00p CST, 79 students from fifteen member institutions will present original research and performances across a variety of categories, including: culture/religion/history/politics, psychology/education, health/physical sciences, physics/astronomy/engineering/mathematics/environmental science, media/arts, and business/communication/marketing. Oral presentations will take place in the morning, followed by lunch at Fresh Food Company, concluding with visual and performance presentations in the afternoon.

MHC scholars and the WKU community are invited to attend to explore the various poster, performance, and oral session, and to support our Commonwealth’s student researchers.
