The 10th annual Dance Big Red, a student-led fundraising event, will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday (March 8) at WKU’s Preston Health and Activities Center.
This year’s goal is $90,000. Dance Big Red has raised more than $600,000, including more than $93,000 last year.
“We raise funds for the pediatric cancer care and pediatric heart care at Norton Children's Hospital,” said Dance Big Red Co-Chair Grant Oller. “I feel so fortunate to be a part of an organization that benefits such an amazing hospital.”
About 600 students are expected to participate in Friday night’s event.
“Our team has put a lot of heart into preparing for Dance Big Red this year,” Co-Chair Hannah Adams said. “I am consistently amazed by the passion and hard work each of our members puts in year over year. It is so special to see our impact firsthand on the night of the finale when our families attend the event and to see all of the hard work come to fruition.”
