- Thursday, April 4th, 2024
WKU’s Hardin Planetarium will host a solar eclipse viewing event from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday (April 8).
While Bowling Green won’t be in the path of totality, the WKU campus will still see 97% of an eclipse. Maximum coverage will occur at 2:04 p.m. Safely view the eclipse by using eclipse glasses or proper solar filters.
The Hardin Planetarium is planning hands-on activities to safely watch the Sun. Inside the Star Chamber, the planetarium will show a virtual live eclipse and a live feed of the total eclipse from NASA.
