HealthForce One, a mobile education lab, will visit Western Kentucky University (WKU), on Monday, April 15th. HealthForce One features many teaching tools, including a simulation environment of a hospital setting with manikin simulators, an Anatomage table, 3D zSpace laptop computers, an immersive simulation room, and a synthetic cadaver.
HealthForce One is an initiative from HealthForce Kentucky, a workforce development effort to inspire careers in health care. This unique collaboration involves nine colleges and universities, including WKU, along with numerous P-12 school districts in sixteen Kentucky counties in an effort to create greater accessibility to the highest levels of instruction and training for careers in health care.
To showcase the capabilities of HealthForce One, a special tour event will take place on Monday, April 15th, at WKU, outside of Smith Stadium from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Administration, faculty, students, and community partners are invited to explore the unit and experience its cutting-edge teaching tools firsthand. Tours are free and groups of thirty at a time can tour the unit.
Additionally, HealthForce Kentucky staff will be onsite to discuss the initiative's mission, goals, and current operations, providing attendees with valuable insights into the program's impact on healthcare education and workforce development in Kentucky.
