Thirty-three Western Kentucky University students have been selected as Spirit Masters for the 2024-25 year.

Spirit Masters, known as the official student ambassadors of WKU, serve to preserve traditions, strive for excellence and make the spirit of WKU contagious. They do this through service to the university. According to the organization’s mission, Spirit Masters work with each other and WKU officials to extend the spirit of WKU to others so they, too, can understand how “The Spirit Makes the Master.” Spirit Masters were first presented to the University in the spring of 1981.

Fourteen WKU students have been newly selected as Spirit Masters for 2024-25. They are:

• Peter Aung, a sophomore from Bowling Green who is majoring in Health Sciences.
• Calee Carroll, a sophomore from Danville who is majoring in Political Science and Legal Studies.
• Haley Fowler, a sophomore from Franklin who is majoring in Elementary Education.
• Marlowe Hanel, a freshman from Louisville who is majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Visual Journalism, and Photography.
• Gracie Hurt, a freshman from Richmond who is majoring in Public Relations and Sport Management.
• Gabriel Jerdon, a sophomore from Versailles who is majoring in Civil Engineering.
• Caden Lucas, a freshman from Harned who is majoring in Political Science and Legal Studies.
• Marissa Mudd, a freshman from Crestwood who is majoring in International Affairs and Spanish with a minor in Marketing.
• Emily Oden, a freshman from Guthrie who is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Emily Reinneck, a sophomore from Mascoutah, Illinois, who is majoring in Interior Design.
• Genevieve Robinett, a sophomore from Brentwood, Tennessee, who is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Photojournalism.
• Rush Robinson, a sophomore from Benton who is majoring in Psychology, Philosophy, and Sociology.
• Sophia Stirling, a freshman from Troy, Illinois, who is majoring in Political Science and Legal Studies.
• Sarah Vincent, a junior from Bardstown who is majoring in Public Health and Healthcare Administration.

Nineteen Spirit Masters are returning for the 2024-25 year. They are:

• Colby Alexander, a junior from Nolensville, Tennessee, who is majoring in Journalism with a minor in Business Administration.
• Caitlyn Blandford, a junior from Owensboro who is majoring in Architectural Science and Interior Design with a certificate in Food Service Design.
• Raquel Bonham, a junior from Bowling Green who is majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Biophysics.
• Jakob Briggs, a junior from Nashville, Tennessee, who is majoring in Business Economics.
• Anna Grace Castor, a junior from LaGrange who is majoring in Broadcasting and Communication Studies.
• Carrie Cavitt, a junior from Wingo who is majoring in Global Business and Chinese.
• Cai Coburn, a sophomore from Versailles who is majoring in Accounting with a minor in Finance.
• Ryan Dilts, a sophomore from Villa Hills who is majoring in Finance with a certificate in Data Analytics.
• Addison Falkner, a junior from Louisville who is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Psychology.
• Caroline Forrester, a junior from Glasgow who is majoring in Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Marketing.
• Avery Hanel, a sophomore from Louisville who is majoring in Nursing.
• Dylan Oglesbee, a junior from Columbus, Ohio, who is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Finance.
• Landry Steenbergen, a sophomore from Glasgow who is majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing.
• Shelby Summers, a junior from Winchester who is majoring in Elementary Education.
• Ethan Taylor, a junior from Bowling Green who is majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics.
• Rayna Taylor, a sophomore from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who is majoring in Hospitality Management with a minor in Africana Studies.
• Jenna Wells, a junior from Richmond who is majoring in Accounting and Data Analytics.
• Price Wilborn, a junior from Shelbyville who is majoring in Political Science, History, and Legal Studies.
• Sydney Windhorst, a junior from Crestwood who is majoring in International Affairs with a minor in Journalism Writing and Political Science.
