Forty-six WKU in Glasgow students are completing their bachelor’s or master’s degree requirements and receiving their diplomas from WKU.
They were honored last week at a Graduand ceremony – a pre-commencement celebration for students from the region who have met the requirements to graduate – where they received their Glasgow tartan to wear at WKU commencement this weekend, as well as a celebratory cake to share with family and friends. Fall 2023 graduates were also recognized.
Three graduands received awards: Middle School Education Social Studies & Language Arts major Kaemyn Houchens received the Spirit Award; Elementary Education major Kylie Milam received the Scholar Award; and Social Work major Tina Harrison received the Dr. Juanita C. Bayless Award.
WKU students will complete their finals this week and be ready for Topper Walk, Commencement, and Big Red’s Bash on May 2, as well as their College Recognition Ceremony on May 3.
