Western's Mock Trial team boasts impressive team and individual rankings from their tournaments over the past month. The team competed in the 5th Annual Chucky Mullins Invitational in Oxford, MS on October 19th and 20th. Out of a total 14 teams, WKU's B team placed 4th and our A team placed 9th. WKU student John Rains received a 17/20 rank as an outstanding witness at the tournament, while students Ethan Huffaker and Avery Wells both received 15/20 ranks. Student James Crider received an 18/20 rank as an outstanding attorney.
At a tournament at Vanderbilt in early November, WKU student Ethan Huffaker was awarded a perfect individual rank of 20/20. At a tournament the next weekend at IUPUI, student James Crider also received a perfect rank of 20/20, and Tana Tyler received a 19/20 rank.
The Mock Trial team will spend the rest of this semester preparing for a high school tournament they will host in January, as well as gearing up for a tournament at EKU that same month. Congratulations to the WKU Mock Trial team for their outstanding work this semester!
