Staff of The Center for Gifted Studies Present at the 70th Annual National Association for Gifted Children Conference in Seattle, WA

November 25, 2024 (Bowling Green, KY) – Tyler Clark, Elizabeth Joyce, and Julia Roberts of The Center for Gifted Studies presented at the National Association for Gifted Children Conference in Seattle, WA, on November 21-24. These professionals joined more than 2,000 teachers, gifted coordinators, psychologists, researchers, parents, and caregivers as they gathered to share best practices for supporting high-ability children.
Clark and Joyce presented “To Infinity and Beyond! Learn to Create a Virtual Universe That Engages and Inspires Learners.” Roberts, Clark, and colleague Norma Hafenstein presented “Empowering Educators: Global Principles for Professional Learning in Gifted Education.” Roberts also presented “The Initial and Advanced Standards for Teachers of Gifted Students.”
“What a pleasure it was to network with colleagues around the country at the NAGC Conference. Contributing sessions is an honor,” said Julia Roberts, Ed.D.
In addition to his role as a presenter, Tyler Clark, Ed.D., worked as a member of the Leadership Development Committee, presented the NAGC Awards Program Task Force report to the NAGC Board of Directors, and served on a panel for first-time attendees at the annual NAGC conference. “It is an honor to serve in leadership roles through NAGC to enhance advocacy efforts for gifted and talented students,” Clark commented.
The Center participated with a consortium of universities across the country focused on talent development and providing equitable opportunities for gifted and talented learners, such as The Talent Identification Program of Kentucky (TIP-KYÒ).
