- Thursday, January 30th, 2025

Three students from WKU's Department of Physics & Astronomy attended the 2025 American Physical Society CU*iP January 24-26, at the University of Memphis. The purpose of the conference was to help undergraduate students who represent gender minorities build social and intellectual networks with others in physical sciences.
Kelly Humphrey, class of 2025; Alli Hunt, class of 2026; Elena Ley, class of 2027; and Dr. Jasminka Terzic attended panel discussions on graduate school opportunities, presented undergraduate research, visited state-of-the-art laboratories, and learned risk management principles.
Asked why she attended the conference, Elena stated, “It is really important for motivation and finding graduate school opportunities.”
