WKU in Glasgow Announces Early College Class of 2027
Glasgow, KY – WKU in Glasgow is proud to announce the selection of 84 outstanding students from local high schools who will make up the Early College Class of 2027. This fall, these students from seven area high schools will begin an advanced academic journey during their junior year, studying alongside WKU students and their senior peers who are also enrolled in the program.
The Early College program allows students to take college courses at WKU in Glasgow, tailored to their chosen Professional Career Tracks. By the time they graduate from high school, these students will have earned 30 hours of college credit, giving them a strong head start on their higher education and career goals.
Now entering its third year, the Early College program continues to thrive, with 153 students slated to participate in the program during the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 school year.
"We are delighted to welcome the third cohort to our Early College program," said Dr. Derick B. Strode, Director of Regional Campuses and Dual Credit. "These students are selected based on academic performance and maturity to take on the responsibility of college expectations, and we are honored to collaborate with local high schools to provide them with this transformative educational opportunity."
