WKU is hosting the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit this weekend, Friday, March 28^th to Sunday, March 30^th, at Diddle Arena.  This will bring a large volume of buses, trucks, and tractor trailers to campus.  In support of this large regional event, the following parking, traffic, and transit changes are in effect.

PARKING & TRAFFIC CHANGES: 

March 27^th, Thursday

·        Creason Lot areas P2 – P5 (See diagram below) close at 12:30PM Thursday. Cars remaining in these areas at 4:30PM Thursday will be towed at owner’s expense to South Campus. Areas P2 – P5 will remain closed until Sunday, March 30^th at 9:00PM.

·        Ave of Champions: All on-street parking will be coned off beginning at 4:30PM Thursday.  On-street parking on AOC is prohibited until Sunday, March 30^th at 9:00PM.

·        PS2 1^st floor closes to new entry at 4:30PM Thursday and remains closed until Sunday, March 30^th at 9:00PM. The first floor must be completely cleared by 10:30AM Friday. Any remaining vehicles will be cited and towed at owner’s expense.

March 28^th, Friday

·        Cars remaining on AOC will be towed at owner’s expense beginning at noon Friday.  On-street parking is prohibited until Sunday, March 30^th at 9:00PM.

·         Diddle North closes at 12:00PM Friday.  Cars remaining in the lot at 1:00PM will be towed at owner’s expense. Diddle North remains closed until Sunday, March 30^th at 9:00PM.

·        Avenue of Champions closes to through traffic at approximately 2:30PM, as soon as the first equipment truck arrives to unload. The street will open at approximately 12:00AM.

March 29^th, Saturday

·         South Lawn closes 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

·         Diddle South closes 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

·         Diddle North closes 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

·         Avenue of Champions closes 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

March 30^th, Sunday

·         South Lawn closes 8:30AM – 9:00PM.

·         Diddle South closes 8:30AM – 9:00PM.

·         Diddle North closes 8:30AM – 9:00PM.

·         Avenue of Champions closes 8:30AM – 9:00PM.

Additional Notes

·       During the times when Avenue of Champions is closed, no traffic will be allowed through. 

·      All H4 permit holders may access Poland Lot from PFT Loop. 

·        Displaced H9 permit holders will be able to park in Parking Structure 3, Adams Street Lot, Normal Street South Lot, University Blvd Lot, or Chestnut Street South Lot.

• Displaced FS2 permit holders will be allowed to park in  Parking Structure 1. 

Parking Structures Open:

·        Parking Structures 1 and Parking Structure 2 will be open for free public parking, beginning at 3:00PM Friday afternoon and will stay open throughout the event.

TRANSIT CHANGES:

·         Friday, March 28^th:

o   DSU and Keen Hall bus stops will be closed when Avenue of Champions closes at approximately 4:00PM Friday, March 28^th.     

o   Service will remain at all other bus stops as scheduled. 

o   Route 1 and Route 2 will operate as normally scheduled.

 ·         On-Demand and Paratransit services will be available Friday and Sunday evening per the existing schedule.
