WKU’s Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Inducted 67 new members to the society on Thursday. The NSLS is an organization that provides a life-changing leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth, career success, and empowers them to have a positive impact in their community.
With 868 chapters, the NSLS currently has 2,157,165 members nationwide. WKU’s NSLS chapter is led by Chapter President, Abby Smith, who worked on communicating with inductees throughout the semester and providing opportunities for students to meet the induction criteria.
“WKU’s NSLS chapter is different than other organizations that we sponsor in the WKU Student Activities office. NSLS gets students involved from WKU’s main campus but also from our satellite campuses and online students. We also have many graduate students and non-traditional students participate as well. I am glad that we have the opportunity to connect students from across WKU’s different areas because many of our programs are often geared directly toward the traditional undergraduate students,” Chapter Advisor Amelia Kolb said.
To be inducted, students participated in an orientation, a leadership training day, listened to at least three speaker broadcasts, and developed SMART goals with success networking teams. In spring 2025, broadcasters included Kate McKinnon, Judge Frank Caprio and Malcolm Gladwell.
