T/TAS Celebrates 40th Anniversary
- T/TAS
- Thursday, September 27th, 2012
Since 1973, Training & Technical Assistance Services (T/TAS) has been a leading provider of comprehensive Head Start technical assistance and professional development training in all program content areas for the Head Start, Early Head Start, childcare, and human services communities. T/TAS has managed over $75 million in state, regional, and Federal training and technical assistance grants since 1973.
In 2013 we will be celebrating T/TAS’ 40th anniversary, and we are proud to say we're still growing strong! We will be kicking off the celebration by introducing a brand new institute -- Deeply Rooted: Sowing the Seeds of Success for Head Start Children and Families. This 2-1/2 day event explores the OHS Parent, Family & Community Framework in-depth, focusing on parent engagement, school readiness, and how families are "deeply rooted" in the culture and fabric of Head Start and Early Head Start. The institute will provide thought-provoking, informative sessions with a fun-filled approach. Watch our Training Events calendar for a brochure and registration.
We have a multitude of ideas in the works for celebrating our big 40, including a timeline and photos that will bring back memories to many longtime Head Start staff, decade trivia, and other surprises, so keep a sharp eye out!
Lastly, we want to THANK YOU, the wonderful Head Start and Early Head Start program staff that we have had the pleasure to serve all these years. We have seen programs start and grow, change and develop, over time. Our staff has had the honor to get to know many, many Head Start and Early Head Start Directors and staff on a friendship level. Some we can track back to the very beginning, and others are new friends we have made as we expanded our T/TA services nationwide over the last decade. We truly cherish the work we do and are proud to serve the Head Start community now and in the future.
Here’s to another 40 years! Cheers!
