“Hope for Haiti? Rebuilding A Nation" a photographic exhibition which puts its focus on the people of Haiti opens Friday, April 5, in the Mass Media & Technology Hall gallery. This show, sponsored by the School of Journalism & Broadcasting, was created over several visits in 2012 by Professor James H. Kenney Jr., coordinator of the Photojournalism program at Western Kentucky University. This exciting show of nearly 40 photographs, which will be on display until April 26, focus on the slow recovery of a country hit by a devastating earthquake on January 12, 2010. Despite massive volunteer efforts and the billions of dollars invested in its recovery, Haiti remains a country living on the brink of collapse. However, the Haitians refuse to accept failure as the final chapter in their nation's long history.

The gallery is free and open to the public. Parking is available after 4:30 pm in the Chestnut St. parking lot. The hours for the gallery are:

Sunday, 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Monday – Wednesday, 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Thursday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
