- Monday, June 17th, 2013
WKU Biology graduate student Amanda Seaton of Hartford received an outstanding poster award recently at the 113th General Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology in Denver.
Seaton works in Dr. Rodney King’s laboratory where she has been defining the requirements for early gene expression in a newly discovered virus that infects the bacterium Escherichia coli.
The May 18-21 conference attracted approximately 7,100 attendees and featured nearly 230 sessions, 19 workshops and more than 2,500 posters. Only 40 students were chosen to display their exceptional research in a special highlighted area of the Poster Hall.
