What is ACF-IM-HS-13-02?
ACF-IM-HS-13-02, released on July 7, 2013, describes the new five-year project period that will be used to fund HS and EHS programs. The IM describes several post-award requirements which will be described on the Notice of Award that OHS issues to each grantee.
How will it affect my program?
One important required activity will be a governance and leadership capacity screening that the grantee must conduct within 90 days from the start of the project period. While the IM does not describe the format or content of that screening, Training and Technical Assistance Services (T/TAS) at WKU has experienced, knowledgeable, and proven expertise in the area of governance. T/TAS has developed materials and provides training and technical assistance to help your program complete this requirement using strategies that produce a timely response to this requirement.
What else do I need to know?
You will want to check out the other post-award requirements, including a health and safety assessment of each center/family day care home within a specified time-frame, as well as a governing body certification of compliance following those assessments. T/TAS, your partner in quality, is available to provide quality and expert services through on-site TTA, your participation in our nationally recognized events, and products and services designed to support your program as you move into this new five-year cycle.
