- Tuesday, February 24th, 2015
Americans for Prosperity Kentucky, in partnership with National Review and Western Kentucky University Department of Political Science, announces a gubernatorial debate of Republican, primary candidates on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
“As an organization committed to economic freedom, we see this debate as an important opportunity to understand the candidates’ views on the government and how it can best encourage economic growth as opposed to inhibit it,” said Julia Crigler, state director of Americans for Prosperity Kentucky.
Candidates participating in the debate include, Matt Bevin, James Comer, Hal Heiner and Will T. Scott.
The debate, to be held at the Downing University Center Auditorium at Western Kentucky University, will focus on economic issues divided into three sections: health care; taxes and spending; jobs and the economy.
Tickets are free and will be available beginning April 3. For those that cannot attend, National Review will live stream the event, while WKU-PBS will provide a live pool feed to any stations interested in carrying the broadcast live via satellite downlink.
Contact the Department of Political Science for information on free student tickets.
