Now is your chance to provide input on the newly proposed Head Start Program Performance Standards!

If you haven’t already heard, the Office of Head Start is currently accepting comments on the HHS Notice of Proposed Rule Making on Head Start Program Performance Standards. You can submit comments now through Tuesday, August 18, 2015. According to ECLKC (Early Childhood Learning & Knowledge Center), the proposed rule making is the "first holistic revision and complete reorganization of the Head Start Program Performance Standards since they were originally published in 1975." Your comments and feedback will be submitted to the OHS and used to make decisions for a final rule!

The ECLKC website has provided a page with the information you will need in order to review the proposed changes. Visit the page HERE. Included on the page are links to download the recorded version of the June NPRM Overview Webinar, the webinar transcript and PPT slides (open the “NPRM Overview Webinar” option). You can read the NPRM and submit your comments HERE.

This is a great opportunity for all Head Start programs. T/TAS encourages you to take advantage of this brief open time-period to submit your own opinions and ideas after you have familiarized yourself with the proposed changes.
