- Tuesday, September 5th, 2017
The Academic Advising & Retention Center (AARC) and Study Abroad and Global Learning (SAGL) Offices of WKU will host the 2017 Majors and Minors & Study Abroad Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Raymond B. Preston Health and Activities Center.
This partnership will provide students the unique opportunity to explore WKU majors and expand their education through a study abroad experience that fits with their academic and career goals. Numerous academic departments will be present to answer questions about major and minor options available at WKU. Information will be available on a variety of study abroad programs, including Faculty-Led Programs, KIIS, CCSA, Harlaxton, Semester at Sea, WKU Exchanges and other WKU partners. Students are eligible to participate in study abroad programs if they are in good standing with the university and maintain a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
This event is open to all current WKU and Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) students. All student attendees will have an opportunity to win one of two Study Abroad and Global Learning scholarships. Study Abroad and Global Learning will be giving away a free T-shirt to the first 400 students and a variety of door prizes will be given away throughout the event.
Door prizes were made possible by the generosity of the following WKU departments and local businesses: Center for Career and Professional Development, College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, College of Health and Human Services, Ogden College of Science and Engineering, Potter College of Arts & Letters, WellU, Azzip Pizza, Back Down South, Blaze Pizza, Mellow Mushroom, and National Corvette Museum.
