WKU Learn and Earn Scholarship Program’s newest partner is Barbara Stewart Interiors of Bowling Green. A long-standing downtown tradition, Barbara Stewart Interiors offers home accents, jewelry, dinnerware, wedding gifts, gourmet foods, stationary, collectibles, engraving and more. Their custom picture framing is in a class by itself, offering top-of-the line conservation methods while being a leader in framing for more than 63 years.
Students employed with Barbara Stewart Interiors will be working in a retail capacity. “This newest partnership is especially exciting—it’s providing our students not only a unique work experience, but also one that is deeply connected to the community,” Learn and Earn Project Manager Leslie Witty said. “We love that we will have our students working for such a respected name in Bowling Green. It truly is an honor.”
The WKU Learn and Earn Scholarship Program partners with area companies and businesses to employ both traditional and non-traditional college students thus helping meet their company production goals. In return, those students work for wages and receive college scholarships from their employers as well.
