- Thursday, October 12th, 2017
Robert Reich, former Secretary of Labor for President Bill Clinton and economic adviser to President Barack Obama, will participate in an informal Question & Answer session with students on Wednesday, October 18 at 4:30 p.m. in Guillaume Auditorium in Grise Hall on WKU’s main campus.
“This conversation with Professor Reich is an opportunity for students to meet and interact with a distinguished public servant in an engaging setting,” said Dr. Jeff Katz, Dean of the Gordon Ford College of Business. “We are thankful for Professor Reich’s interest in a thoughtful dialogue with our students regarding economics, capitalism, and government.”
Reich currently serves as Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley and Senior Fellow at the Blum Center for Developing Economies. He is the author of numerous best-selling books, the co-creator of an award-winning documentary, and founding editor of American Prospect magazine. Reich is considered one of the world’s leading economic minds.
The Question & Answer session precedes Reich’s 7:30 p.m. lecture in Van Meter Hall. Reich’s visit is sponsored by the WKU Cultural Enhancement Series, which provides the campus and community the opportunity to meet some of the nation’s most influential artists and intellectuals.
