Mix It Up at Lunch Day is an international campaign by Teaching Tolerance, an organization that strives to reduce prejudice, improve intergroup relations and support equitable school experiences. This year, WKU is participating in the event.
With leadership from Chief Diversity Officer Lynne Holland, WKU has been registered as a Mix It Up school and will be participating in the international Mix It Up at Lunch Day on Oct. 31.
The dining hall is identified as a premier place in schools where lines of division are drawn. Mix It Up at Lunch Day encourages the simple act of moving out of your comfort zone and connecting with someone new during lunch.
So students, faculty and staff, join us in Mixing It Up at Lunch Day. Feel free to share your lunch photos using the hashtag #WKUMixLunch.
