- Football: Jack Doyle Becomes First Pro Bowler in WKU History: Former WKU tight end Jack Doyle has been named to the 2018 Pro Bowl roster, the NFL and Indianapolis Colts announced on Sunday. Doyle, a four-year letterman from 2009-12, becomes the first former player in WKU history to be named a Pro Bowler, and he did it on the backing of a career season for the Colts, his first as the team's No. 1 tight end.
- Women’s basketball: Lady Toppers Ride Big Fourth Quarter Past Marshall, 86-66: C-USA Player of the Year candidate Tashia Brown turned in one of her strongest performances of the season with a season-high 33 points and was one of four Lady Toppers in double figures as WKU earned an 86-66 victory inside the Cam Henderson Center against Marshall on Sunday afternoon. Next: WKU (14-5, 5-1 C-USA) at North Texas at 7 p.m. Friday.
- Tops Fall 66-62 to Middle Tennessee in Front of Largest Diddle Crowd Since 2003: Costly turnovers and poor outside shooting worked against WKU Hilltopper Basketball in a 66-62 loss to Middle Tennessee on Saturday night at an over-capacity E.A. Diddle Arena. Next: WKU (14-6, 6-1 Conference USA) vs. Marshall at 6 p.m. this Saturday at Diddle Arena.
- Tennis: WKU Comes Up Short in Season Opener at Alabama: WKU Tennis fell just shy of a victory at Alabama on Sunday afternoon after tying in the singles competition 3-3 but being defeated on the doubles point. The final score of the match was 4-3. Next: The Lady Toppers will compete in a doubleheader in Louisville this weekend playing UTEP on Friday followed by Louisville on Saturday.
- Track & Field: Hilltoppers Wrap Up Two-Day Vanderbilt Invitational: Back in Music City for the second time this season, the Hilltopper track and field squad was up against a competitive Vanderbilt Invitational field on Friday and Saturday. Julius Morris and Jonathan Hayden used a pair of top-five all-time indoor times by a Hilltopper to leave their marks on the meet. Next: WKU will head back to Indiana for the Indiana University Relays on Jan. 26-27.

- Conference USA title race heats up after Middle's win at WKU: After four weeks of Conference USA basketball, the race to be crowned league champion has some serious heat to it. Middle Tennessee’s 66-62 win at WKU on Saturday created a three-way tie atop the table. And Marshall, who beat MTSU on Thursday, is lurking just one game back.

- Topper Travelers Program 2018: The WKU Alumni Association is planning a Baltic Cruise across Northern Europe June 21-July 2. The 10-night cruise across the Baltic Sea aboard Marina will begin in Copenhagen, Denmark, with stops in Berlin, Germany; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; and Stockholm, Sweden.
