• Head for The Hill Monday: Head for The Hill, an open house event for prospective students and their families, will be held on Monday (Feb. 19). The Office of Admissions expects more than 2,000 guests on campus from about 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests will primarily be in Diddle Arena, Downing Student Union, Grise Hall and the Preston Health Activities Center. Head for The Hill parking will be in PS2. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour campus, attend information sessions, speak with faculty and staff during the information fair, and even apply to WKU and receive an admissions decision before they leave. • Kappa Delta to host annual Shamrock Shootout March 3-4: The Delta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority will host its annual Shamrock Shootout basketball tournament on March 3 and 4 at WKU's Preston Health and Activities Center.
• WKU Libraries newsletter: Check out the spring 2018 Collections and Connections newsletter.
• Parking advisory: PS2 Reserved Monday: Parking Structure 2 will be reserved Monday morning (Feb. 19) for Head for The Hill, a major student recruitment event.  The garage is scheduled to reopen at approximately 10 a.m. Alternate commuter parking will be available in several other lots. • 2018 Winter Weather Communications Plan: Check out a reminder about WKU’s winter weather communications plan that provides a number of ways you can find out if classes are delayed, canceled or if a campus is closed.
• WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

• Men’s basketball: Hilltoppers Ride Hollingsworth, Free Throws to Overtime Win at North Texas: WKU went to overtime for the first time under head coach Rick Stansbury on Thursday night, but used 30 points from Taveion Hollingsworth and 37 made free throws to pull out a 102-94 road victory at North Texas. Hollingsworth's career-high 30 points were the most by a WKU freshman since at least 1986. That was just the start of a standout offensive night for the Hilltoppers (19-7 overall, 11-2 Conference USA). Next: WKU at Rice at 7 p.m. Saturday.
• Women’s basketball: WKU Posts Wire-to-Wire 76-60 Rivalry Win at Middle Tennessee: WKU never trailed and had big performances from Dee Givens (19 points), Ivy Brown (18 points and 11 rebounds) and Tashia Brown (14 points) as the Lady Toppers won their fifth straight rivalry clash against Middle Tennessee, 76-60, inside the Murphy Center on Thursday evening. Next: The Lady Toppers (19-6, 10-2 C-USA) face Marshall for their annual Play4Kay Pink Game at 2 p.m. Saturday at Diddle Arena. All fans are encouraged to wear pink and are welcomed to make their pledge to the Lady Toppers' Play4Kay Free Throw Challenge, and breast cancer survivors will be honored at halftime. • Softball: Aikey's No Hitter Leads WKU to Split at Chattanooga Challenge: Behind WKU Softball's 12th no hitter in program history off the arm of Kelsey Aikey, the Hilltoppers turned in split results on day one from the Chattanooga Challenge. Tennessee Tech (1-5) handed the Red and White a 9-5 loss to open play before WKU responded with its second extra-inning win of the year in a 1-0 win over Sacred Heart (0-1). The Hilltoppers  (4-2) are scheduled to take on Tennessee State at noon CT today, followed by another game with Tennessee Tech.
• Tennis: WKU to Play Lipscomb, Ball State in Weekend Road Trip: Lady Topper Tennis is set for a two-state road trip this weekend, traveling to Lipscomb in Nashville, Tenn., today followed by Ball State in Muncie, Ind., on Sunday.

• Ambassador to Canada visits WKU: U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Kelly Craft, spoke to WKU students Thursday about her career and how she reached her goals.
• Tough Tops revitalized heading to Rice: Toughness, an intangible for any team and any coach, surfaced Thursday night in front of a small crowd in the Super Pit in Denton, Texas. WKU needed to display its toughness in a myriad of ways by a handful of players to survive a feisty, fearless North Texas team in overtime. In the end, the Hilltoppers were 102-94 winners, a victory second-year coach Rick Stansbury kept crediting to the ideals of toughness.
