- GFCB Entrepreneurship Students and Faculty Win Awards: WKU faculty and students won multiple national awards at the 42nd Annual Academic Small Business Institute® Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Feb. 16-17.
- Black History Month Salute: Ambriehl Crutchfield: This month, we're highlighting the work of African American faculty, staff, students and alumni who make a difference each day at WKU. Today, we focus on Ambriehl Crutchfield, a broadcasting senior from Nashville.
- Allen County native receives Dr. Delroy & Patricia Hire Internship to preserve local history: Christopher Coe Campbell, the eldest son of Greg and Trudi Compton and the grandson of Nancy (Pruitt) Miller, has been named the Dr. Delroy & Patricia Hire Intern for 2018. Campbell is a lifelong resident of Allen County and a 2015 graduate of Allen County-Scottsville High School. He is a junior at WKU pursuing a degree in History with a minor in Agriculture.
- 2018 Black Excellence Exposition rescheduled for Feb. 28: The 2018 Black Excellence Exposition, a free public performance hosted by WKU Forensics Team, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 28 in the Downing Student Union Auditorium.
- Panhellenic, Interfraternity councils recognized at leadership conferences: The WKU Panhellenic and Interfraternity councils were recognized during leadership conferences this month.
- WKU Department of Art Welcomes visiting artists, the HAD Collective, from Bosnia-Herzegovina: The WKU Department of Art is excited to welcome visiting artists the HAD Collective from Visoko, Bosnia-Herzegovina to campus to provide workshops and speak about Bosnia and their artwork to students and the Bowling Green community.
- WKU Board of Regents to meet Feb. 23: The WKU Board of Regents will hold its first quarterly meeting at 9 a.m. Friday. The meeting will be in the Martin Regents Room of Jody Richards Hall.
- 2018 Winter Weather Communications Plan: Check out a reminder about WKU’s winter weather communications plan that provides a number of ways you can find out if classes are delayed, canceled or if a campus is closed.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Men’s basketball: Tops Begin Final Homestand Against Charlotte Tonight: WKU Hilltopper Basketball will look to secure a top-four seed and a first-round bye in the Conference USA Basketball Championship when it hosts Charlotte at 7 CT tonight to start the final homestand at E.A. Diddle Arena. The Hilltoppers have won four straight games and 13 of their last 15, securing the 44th 20-win season in program history. - Barren County invests in possible job training program: Barren County Judge-Executive Micheal Hale said Ankur Gopal, founder and CEO of Interapt, is interested in headquartering a southern Kentucky training center in Barren County because of the community’s “aggressive” approach to training its workforce. Gopal plans to hire 10 project managers locally to run the program on WKU’s Glasgow campus for a year, Hale said.
- Tops look to lock up quarterfinal tourney berth with win over Charlotte: One of the best seasons in WKU’s recent history is suddenly, and expectedly, coming to a close. And it will be a close to remember. The Hilltoppers’ final four-game stretch includes the chance at clinching a first-round bye into the conference tournament, the final regular-season game for a cherished four-year senior, a trip to Murfreesboro to play a game with major NCAA Tournament implications on the line and the finale against a rival on the road.

- Topper Travelers Program 2018: The WKU Alumni Association is planning a Baltic Cruise across Northern Europe June 21-July 2. The 10-night cruise across the Baltic Sea aboard Marina will begin in Copenhagen, Denmark, with stops in Berlin, Germany; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; and Stockholm, Sweden.
