- Long-time professor makes gift to support lecture series and scholarship: Professor Emeritus Dr. Carl Kell has taught classes at WKU since 1972. Not surprising to those who know him, he continues to teach an Advanced Public Speaking course each semester even though he is fully retired. Dr. Kell recently made two gifts to support both the department he has called home for many years and to honor his wife, Mary Anne Kell, who passed away in late 2017. The first gift will establish and provide an initial contribution for an endowment for the Carl L. and Mary Anne Kell Distinguished Lecture Series in Communication.
- Black History Month Salute: Andre Dowell: This month, we're highlighting the work of African American faculty, staff, students and alumni who make a difference each day at WKU. Today, we focus on Andre Dowell, a graduate student from Brandenburg.
- Ready for Competition, WKU's Concrete Canoe Team: Students gathered earlier this month to complete the concrete canoe’s final pour. Work lasted all day and a mixture of seniors and underclassmen contributed to the production line. Tucker Baker, the project manager, detailed the work that has already been completed and what remains to be done. More Stories from SEAS: Engineering-Manufacturing-Commercialization Center
- PS1 & PS2 Used Nightly for Event Parking: WKU is hosting the 2018 KHSAA Regional Basketball Tournaments in Diddle Arena through March 6. PS1 and PS2 will be used for event parking. Students and faculty/staff with current WKU parking permits may use the structures as space allows.
