- Nada McGinnis Fountain Leadership Scholarship established as surprise for namesake: On Christmas Day 2017, Nada McGinnis Fountain (’82) was surprised when she opened a large box of WKU and Alpha Delta Pi items. However, the real present was yet to be opened. “When I asked my husband, Scott, where he had found all these fun items, he said that I’d know when I got to the bottom,” shared Nada Fountain. “There I found a framed certificate recognizing the establishment of the Nada McGinnis Fountain Leadership Scholarship. I was so touched and honored.”
- View from the Hill: Spring Break Service Projects: It’s spring break on the Hill and WKU students are spread out all over the country to take advantage of their week off. But not all of them are using the time to rest and recharge as WKU's Amy Bingham explains in this week’s View from the Hill.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. - Women’s basketball: Lady Toppers Set for NCAA Tournament First Round Clash With Oregon State: For the fourth time in six seasons under Michelle Clark-Heard, WKU will make an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, battling No. 13/10 Oregon State inside Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn., at 11 a.m. (CT) today for a spot in the second round. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
- Baseball: WKU Hosts Middle Tennessee in Opening C-USA Series: The Conference USA season starts this weekend for WKU Baseball, who hosts rival Middle Tennessee for a Friday-to-Sunday series at Nick Denes Field. First pitch today between Hilltoppers and Blue Raiders will be at 5 p.m., with game times Saturday and Sunday both at 1 p.m.
- Softball: WKU Receiving Votes in Latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll: For the first time since the preseason of the 2016 campaign, WKU Softball has received votes in the latest USA Today/NCFA DI Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Hilltoppers are one of 12 teams receiving votes in the Tuesday poll and the only Conference USA representative listed. Next: WKU will resume its conference slate this weekend as Middle Tennessee is headed to The Hill for a three-game series. The Red and White will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m., while the Sunday finale will begin at 1 p.m.

- Lady Toppers take in significance of playing at UT: Whitney Creech visited the arena as a fan a few years ago. Michelle Clark-Heard played on the court as a senior and will live in a surreal moment when she coaches Friday on The Summitt. One might say women’s basketball was born in Thompson-Boling Arena at the University of Tennessee. Fans and participants might agree it’s the sport’s holy cathedral. - Topper Travelers Program 2018: The WKU Alumni Association is planning a Baltic Cruise across Northern Europe June 21-July 2. The 10-night cruise across the Baltic Sea aboard Marina will begin in Copenhagen, Denmark, with stops in Berlin, Germany; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; and Stockholm, Sweden.
