- Women’s golf: Blackman Shoots Record-Low 69 to Lead After First Day of C-USA Championship: WKU senior golfer Georgina Blackman used the lowest conference tourney round on record in program history to take sole possession of first place through one round at the Conference USA Championship, while the Lady Toppers are tied for fifth in the team standings after Monday's opening day. Blackman, an Essex, England, native, shot a season-low, 3-under 69 to open play at the par-72, 6,194-yard Verandah Club. The second round begins this morning.

- Volleyball: Hudson Rounds Out Recruiting Class with Addition of Ashley Hood: WKU Volleyball head coach Travis Hudson has announced the addition of setter/defensive specialist Ashley Hood to the Lady Toppers' incoming class. - End of an era: Richards reflects on unexpected 42-year career: When Jody Richards first entered the state Capitol in Frankfort as a legislator in 1977, he did not envision spending the next four decades as a public servant.
- WKU ends spring ball this week with QB battle still ongoing: WKU isn’t likely to name a starting quarterback Saturday after the program’s annual spring game. Even if senior Drew Eckels has a leg up on his competition, second-year coach Mike Sanford is in no rush to crown any one of his trio of QBs the full-time signal caller. That trend will continue over the summer and into fall camp.
