- Nellans receives Rotary Global Grant Scholarship for master's degree abroad: WKU graduate Lillian Nellans will use a $45,000 Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in the United Kingdom.
- Two alumni make gifts to support Ogden Innovation Endowment Fund, rooms in Ogden College Hall named in their honor: Two WKU alumni who graduated from programs within the Ogden College of Science & Engineering have made gifts to support the Ogden Innovation Endowment Fund. In recognition of these gifts, spaces within the new Ogden College Hall were named in their honor.
- WKU Owensboro Hosts ACT Summer Institute This July: College admission is a competitive process, and ACT scores often play a key role in determining if students get accepted into the school of their choice or receive academic scholarships. Being prepared for the ACT exam gives students the edge they need to excel on this vital exam, so the WKU Owensboro campus will bring an ACT Summer Institute to students in the region.
- Follow the Bike4Alz riders: WKU students are making the sixth Bike4Alz cross country ride to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. For updates on social media, follow Bike4Alz on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. More: Bike4Alz Support Vehicle Fundraiser
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Track & Field: Two Hilltopper Relays, Morris Punch Tickets to NCAA Championships: On the final day of the NCAA East Preliminaries, WKU Track & Field saw two relay units along with Julius Morris in the 200-meter dash all earn spots at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 6-9. Both the WKU men's 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay units won their respective heats to automatically qualify for chances at All-American status from Hayward Field in a couple weeks.
- Men’s golf: Sargent Named to Division I PING All-Region Team: WKU golfer Billy Tom Sargent has been named to the Division I PING All-Region Midwest Team, as announced Saturday by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Sargent, a redshirt junior from Georgetown, Ky., was one of 25 players selected to receive the honor in the Midwest Region. Six regions were honored overall.
