- 10 teachers selected for 2018 National STEM Scholar Program: Ten middle school science teachers from eight states have been selected to participate in the prestigious National STEM Scholar Program, a unique professional development program that provides advanced training for the middle school teachers of aspiring scientists nationwide.
- WKU Fulbright researchers working to solve real-world problems: In Fall 2017, five recent WKU graduates began Fulbright-funded years abroad. Three grantees were awarded Fulbright grants for research projects across the globe in dramatically different disciplines, but all focused on understanding and solving shared challenges of life in our contemporary world.

- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. - Men’s basketball: C-USA Rolls Out Innovative Schedule: Conference USA will launch a new schedule format for the 2018-19 men’s basketball conference season. The Athletics Directors and Board of Directors originally passed the concept in January following discussions with former head coach and ESPN analyst Mark Adams. Head Men’s Basketball Coaches and Athletics Directors finalized the details during the league’s annual spring meetings in Destin, Florida.
