- Erlanger senior receives Lee Robertson Scholarship at WKU: A rising WKU senior from Erlanger has been named the recipient of the annual Lee Robertson Scholarship Fund. Margo McGehee, who is majoring in Arabic and Economics, earned the $500 award designated for an upper-class student at WKU who exemplifies the WKU Spirit. The award is presented in honor of Lee Robertson and administered by the WKU Alumni Association.
- WKU alum tapping his way to fame on Sweden’s version of America’s Got Talent: For many of us, the dance of life to find our true passion can have many steps in the right and wrong direction. WKU graduate Isaac Middleton is no stranger to this tricky tango. But, his persistence and talent of simultaneously tap dancing and playing musical instruments landed him on Sweden’s version of America’s Got Talent.

- Men’s basketball: Hilltoppers Sign Five-Star Center Charles Bassey in 2018 Class: WKU men's basketball head coach Rick Stansbury announced Wednesday the signing of five-star center Charles Bassey (6-11) in the 2018 class. "We're happy to have Charles join our family," Stansbury said. "We're excited about the talent of basketball player he is, but most importantly, the type of person and student he is. He's a 3.9 GPA student with great character, and we look forward to having him in our program."
- Women’s golf: Joiner Named Recipient of C-USA Spring Spirit of Service Award: WKU women's golf sophomore Mary Joiner has been named one of 14 recipients of the C-USA Spring Spirit of Service Award, as announced by the Conference USA office on Wednesday. The C-USA Spirit of Service Award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league's student-athletes, based upon significant public service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport.
- Women’s basketball: Tashia Brown Signs Professional Contract with Israel Team A.S. Ramat Hasharon: Tashia Brown, the reigning C-USA Player of the Year and one of Lady Topper Basketball's all-time greats, has inked her first professional contract with A.S. Ramat Hasharon of the Israeli First Division and is set to join former WKU teammates Kendall Noble and Alexis Govan in the professional ranks.
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- Funeral arrangements made for longest serving WKU professor: Funeral arrangements have been announced for Mary Ellen Miller, who was WKU's longest serving professor. Visitation and funeral will be held June 22 at J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Chapel on Lovers Lane.
- Alltech ends brewing agreement with WKU: Two WKU-themed beers will no longer be produced by Alltech after the company decided to end its brewing partnership with WKU.

- Multiple WKU alumni honored by Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce: On May 22, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce hosted an annual Excellence Awards Luncheon at the Knicely Conference Center with hundreds of community leaders and members in attendance.
