- WKU faculty members engaging in short-term Fulbright opportunities: WKU faculty members are engaging in short-term opportunities through the Fulbright Program.
- Glasgow and Barren County students receive support through Anne and Mike Hyde Scholarship: The Anne and Mike Hyde Scholarship has supported students from Glasgow and Barren County since it was established in 2005. The Hydes annually make gifts to enhance the scholarship so the fund can benefit more students.
- What a Weekend!: Saturdays are always a unique time at SCATS. With their classes over for the week, campers are given the opportunity to focus on their budding friendships and doing what young people do best: having fun. This Saturday, June 16, the annual SCATS Olympics was held. More: Gifted Studies camp blog; SCATS Olympics photos.
- WKU Regents schedule special budget, committee meetings June 22: The WKU Board of Regents will conduct a special budget approval meeting at 8:30 a.m. Friday (June 22), followed by meetings of the Academic Affairs and Finance and Budget committees.
- Follow the Bike4Alz riders: WKU students are making the sixth Bike4Alz cross country ride to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. - Baseball: Toronto Blue Jays Sign Ryan Thurston to Free Agent Deal: Former WKU Baseball lefty Ryan Thurston signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Toronto Blue Jays organization on Sunday. The Madison, Ind., native will report to the Gulf Coast League (GCL) Blue Jays in Dunedin, Fla.
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- First female Silver Star recipient has Bowling Green roots: After making history as the first woman to receive the Silver Star for valor in combat since World War II, a Bowling Green native has no plans to stop serving her country any time soon. Leigh Ann Hester, who grew up in Bowling Green and attended Greenwood High School and WKU, has served two tours of duty in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.
- Hilltoppers' Anderson working this offseason on playing PG: Rick Stansbury wants Josh Anderson playing to his strengths, even if that means playing a different position.
